Rose Powers – Executive Director
For 24 years, Rose has been involved with caring for and meeting the needs of the poor and homeless in Prince William Country. While serving as the Compassion Ministry Pastor for the Woodbridge Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Rose began developing outreach programs to meet the needs of impoverished families and individuals who came to the church for help.
Discovering a large homeless population surrounding the church and throughout the nearby wooded areas of Woodbridge, Rose spearheaded a move to raise support to provide housing for the homeless. Subsequently, the ministry was incorporated in 2004 and Rose then assumed the position of Executive Director of StreetLight Community Outreach Ministries.
With a vision to share Christ’s love with people who are experiencing overwhelming brokenness and poverty, Rose has been dedicated to developing holistic housing solutions and supportive services that will promote restoration and hope in the lives of this very vulnerable population.
She is well known and respected as a leader in the Community by other churches in the County and by State and Local Government employees.
